Heineken USA Recall
Effective Immediately, Heineken USA announced a voluntary partial recall of several products and packages in specific states due to a defect in the 12-oz brown bottles used for certain batches of Carta Blanca and Dos Equis Ambar, which are available in 6-packs and 12-packs as well as “Beers of Mexico” and “Best of Mexico” pack varieties.

The affected products include:
•   Carta Blanca 12-ounce brown bottles in 6-packs and 12-packs
•   Dos Equis Ambar 12-ounce brown bottles in 6-packs and 12-packs
•   “Best of Mexico” 12-pack variety package (which contains the impacted Dos Equis Ambar brown bottle and Indio 12-ounce bottles; this pack is sold only in Texas)
•   “Beers of Mexico” 12-pack and 24-pack variety packages (which contains the impacted Dos Equis Ambar brown bottle)

To our valued customers- effective immediately there is a product recall notice on one code date of Planters cocktail peanuts. Please read the recall release below for additional details:

Kraft Foods is voluntarily recalling one code date of Planters Cocktail Peanuts sold in 12 oz canisters (code date 09-Jan-14, UPC 2900007212) because there is a possibility that the product was exposed to water not intended for use in food during the production process.

No other code dates or any other Planters products are being recalled.

Due to an off-odor noticeable to some consumers, Nestlé Nutrition is proactively retrieving GERBER® GOOD START® Gentle Powdered Infant Formula 23.2 ounce plastic package from batch code number 1339572116 GXP1684 expiration date of March 5, 2013 from retail stores. This product poses no health or safety risk.

Please Note: White Rose was NOT shipped any of the effected product.

Select Varieties of Velveeta Shells & Cheese Microwaveable Cups with Limited Code Dates

Kraft Foods is voluntarily recalling three varieties of Velveeta Shells & Cheese Single Serve Microwaveable Cups with limited code dates as a precaution due to the possible presence of small, thin wire bristle pieces.

No other varieties or code dates of Velveeta Shells & Cheese Single Serve Microwaveable Cups or other Kraft products are impacted by this recall.

We have not received any consumer complaints or reports of injuries and we are voluntarily recalling these products out of an abundance of caution.

Wright County Egg Expands Nationwide Voluntary Recall of Shell Eggs Because of Possible Health Risk

Product: Eggs are packaged under the following brand names: Albertsons, Farm Fresh, James Farms, Glenview, Mountain Dairy, Ralphs, Boomsma, Lund, Kemps and Pacific Coast. Eggs are packed in varying sizes of cartons (6-egg cartons, dozen egg cartons, 18-egg cartons, and loose eggs for institutional use and repackaging) with Julian dates ranging from 136 to 229 and plant numbers 1720 and 1942.

Reason: Wright County Egg of Galt, Iowa is expanding its voluntary recall (original recall date: August 13, 2010) of specific Julian dates of shell eggs produced by their farms because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis or arthritis.

Customer Action: Consumers who believe they may have purchased these shell eggs should not eat them but should return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund. This recall is of shell eggs only. Other egg products produced by Wright County Eggs are not affected. Consumers with questions should visit www.eggsafety.org or call Wright County’s toll-free information number (866-272-5582), which contains a message outlining recall instructions for consumers.

Nature’s Design Whole Peeled Eggs Recall

Product: Nature’s Design Whole Peeled Eggs

Reason: We have discovered an error in the mixture of sodium benzoate and citric acid solution that is used in a soaking step prior to tray packing for the Nature’s Design Whole Peeled product packed during the week of July 12, 2010. It appears that the ratio of citric acid was less than it should have been which will shorten the shelf life of the product.

Customer Actions: Dispose of any product with the Expiration Dates of August 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27.
